Jun. 15th, 2003 Trade Offs Completed
We just wrapped the score for Vikram Yashpal's Directorial Debut "Trade Offs". With a running time of 100 minutes and over an hour of music, this stunning drama will hit film festivals in the coming months. The most distinctive quality about this soundtrack is the spiraling, haunting vocals by Nidhi Bhatmuley...as mentioned in earlier news we were introduced to her through Vikram and instantly clicked. "I knew I wanted Nidhi to be a involved, but her voice changed my entire emotional approach to scoring this film. It was unavoidable...once I heard the first mixes come together I realized she was becoming the voice of Sapna's character." - David Helpling While deep in the process we were also given the opportunity to write and produce the songs for the film...unable to turn this down, David wrote "This Dream" featuring vocals by Nidhi Bhatmuley. tradeoffs-themovie.com

Nov. 21st, 2000 DHM Custom Score Adds Heart and Emotion to Proposal "Dubai, Festival City" the digitally animated feature is completed. Along with a custom score by David Helpling, the proposal to build this grand, new city is a success! "David's music made our animation breathe. Computer generated images tend to be sterile, but his sound textures infused our visuals with a deep passion and humanity. When we create animation, we want to invoke an emotional response in the audience; in this particular case it was an audience of one, the Sheikh of Dubai. He loved the Dubai Festival City proposal, and told the developer to build it as soon as possible! I know that a large part of his excitement was due to the heart that David Helpling's music gave to our animated visualization of the project." -Philip Ayres CEO The Ayres Group.
